It lets someone who has completed a degree at a recognised UK provider stay for <strong>two years, or three after a PhD<\/strong>, and work, look for work or be self employed with no sponsor and no salary floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its limits are the part people miss. It cannot be extended, it can only be held once, and applications have to be made from inside the UK. It is a bridge to a sponsored work visa, not a route that leads anywhere on its own, and anyone who took a government or international scholarship in the previous twelve months needs written consent from the awarding body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<!-- sj:merged:509 -->\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_10000_pound_relocation_payment_for_teachers\"><\/span><strong>The 10,000 pound relocation payment for teachers<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not every change has been a restriction. The International Relocation Payment is a <strong>10,000 pound grant<\/strong> for teachers moving from outside the UK to teach in England, meant to cover visa fees, moving costs and the rest of the bill. To qualify you must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Not be a UK or Irish citizen, both of whom are excluded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Teach secondary physics, general science with physics, or a language other than English<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold a contract of at least one year at an English state secondary school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold an accepted visa, such as Skilled Worker, Youth Mobility or the Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrive no more than three months before the contract starts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is worth reading alongside the salary threshold changes.
