Using the Site/App
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site, App or Services. By using the Site, App or Services you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
Your access and use of the Site, App and Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the Site, App or Services you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
The Site, App and Services are intended solely for users seeking employment opportunities which provide work authorization or sponsorship. You may not use the Site, App or Services to post jobs which do not lead to legal work authorization.
Job Seeker Accounts
As a job seeker, you may browse job listings and other content without registering for an account. However, to apply for jobs or access certain features you must create a personal user account.
To create an account you must provide complete and accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and agree not to share your account or password with others.
You agree to keep your account information up-to-date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts which contain inaccurate information.
Employer Accounts
Employers posting job openings must register for an employer account. You may only register if you are authorized to post jobs on behalf of a legitimate company which provides work authorization or visa sponsorship.
You represent and warrant that you have authority to bind your company to these Terms and are fully authorized to post all jobs and information provided through your account.
Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site, App and Services at any time for any breach of these Terms or applicable law. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. We will not be liable for any losses suffered by you resulting from your inability to access the Site, App or Services after termination.
User Content
The Site and App allow job seekers to post content like resumes and profiles. You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in this content.
By posting any content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify and distribute it solely for the purposes of displaying, distributing and promoting your content on the Site and App.
You agree not to post any content that is abusive, illegal, obscene, defamatory or invades anyone’s privacy. We reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion.
Services Disclaimer
While we aim to connect job seekers with employment opportunities, we make no guarantees regarding the job application process, obtaining interviews, receiving offers or securing employment. It is the sole responsibility of job seekers and employers to follow up on applications and negotiate employment terms.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Post jobs which do not provide legitimate work authorization or visa sponsorship.
- Use the Services to discriminate against any job applicants.
- Misrepresent your identity or provide inaccurate details when creating an account.
- Share user logins or passwords or allow others to access your account.
- Post unauthorized commercial advertisements or solicitations.
- Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access or collect data from the Site or App.
- Post content that infringes any third party intellectual property or proprietary rights.
Indemnification
You agree to hold Shortage Jobs harmless and indemnify us from any third-party claims arising out of your use of the Site, App or Services in violation of these Terms and applicable laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site, App and Services are provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind regarding their performance or suitability. We expressly disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site, App and Services including any warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
Shortage Jobs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with the Site, App or Services – including lost profits, lost data, personal injury or property damage.
Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Site, App and Services will be governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United Kingdom.
Modifications
We may revise these Terms from time to time and will always post the most current version on the Site. If a revision materially modifies your rights, we may notify you otherwise you agree to be bound by the updated Terms when using the Site/App.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Shortage Jobs with respect to the Site, App and Services. The Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals between you and Shortage Jobs with respect to the Site and Services.
